Research and Practice

My work sits at the intersection of artistic practice and urban research, with experience in community-led approaches to shaping spaces and places. Through academic and artistic research and thinking, I help shape cultural experiences that are an expression of sense of place.

As an academic, artist and geographer, I explore how creative practice can catalyse urban change, working with communities to co-produce knowledge, build local agency, and generate cultural narratives that are urgent and grounded in local experience. My practice is rooted in a London lived experience with influences from being born in East Germany and having periodically lived in Leipzig and Berlin.

Non-profit and charity advisory

I support charities, CICs, and community groups to navigate urban change and build on opportunities presented to them by unlocking new sites and developing place-based strategies.

With hands-on experience in non-profit transformation, I offer practical support across operational strategy, governance/policies, grant writing, fundraising strategy, and capital developments. I specialise in getting organisations set up and moving them to different sites, or help them develop capital projects in a context of urban regeneration.
